However after using it, the usefulness becomes apparent in the speed and ease of getting the ironing done. Also damage to quality clothes have been eliminated especially where there are maids at home that do not take good care of the clothes compared to the employers. Nowadays the quality clothes are quite expensive and the savings in cost to replace the clothes cover the cost of the Laurastar in the long term. The only disadvantage I found with the system is that fluff/dirt gets trapped within the iron table mesh which is not accessible for cleaning.
